Dr. Néstor J. Martínez Hernández is a Thoracic Surgery Specialist with extensive experience in Minimally Invasive Surgery. His professional skills have allowed him great achievements, including becoming Coordinator of the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Society of Thoracic Surgery, Guest Editor of the Journal of Visualized Experiments and Director of various training courses for surgical residents with the endorsement of the SECT.
For more than 10 years he has been developing an outstanding work in the University Hospital of La Ribera that positions him as a reference in his field of work, being previously in other health care centers in Valencia as in the Hospital de Manises, which is part of his career.
Recently, he has been recognized for performing the first reported application of video-assisted thoracic surgery for the early repair of a post-intubation tracheal laceration, a project that leads his work as a researcher that combines perfectly with his clinical care and university teaching activities.
