Dr. Raúl Salmerón Ríos is an outstanding physician, specialized in Family and Community Medicine, with a remarkable career in the field of Public Health and research. A doctor in Health Sciences, he has dedicated his career to health care in the Rural Clinic of the SESCAM, as well as to the promotion of national Public Health

In this context, he has been an active member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Society of General and Family Physicians (SEMG) of Castilla-La Mancha, of which he would end up assuming the Presidency, carrying out fundamental work to coordinate efforts and improve Primary Care in the region. In addition, he has led the Public Health Working Group of the SEMG at national level, contributing significantly to the development of Public Health policies and strategies. 

It should be noted that Dr. Salmerón Ríos has been awarded numerous national research awards. In fact, among his awards, the Best Poster Communication Award for his work on Chronic Maxillary Sinusitis of odontogenic origin and the Best Oral Communication Award MIR, for his systematic review on the efficacy of non-surgical treatment in analgesic-resistant disc herniation stand out. He has also received the Best Article Award in the journal AP SEMERGEN, for his research on the assessment scale of healthy lifestyle in adults. 

He has also published several articles in specialized journals, addressing crucial topics such as Obesity, Erectile Dysfunction and cardiovascular risk factors. Likewise, his participation in international congresses, such as the Mediterranean Emergency Medicine Congress and the Congress of the European Society for Emergency Medicine, underlines his commitment to research and medical excellence
