The biologist Ana Ibars Almonacil is a specialist in plant conservation and has devoted more than 20 years of experience to the study of plants, specifically Mediterranean native species. In fact, among her most important milestones is the publication of the book Helechos de la Comunidad Valenciana: atlas de los pteridofitos, of which she is co-author.  

She has also devoted much of her career to the promotion and knowledge of botany through biosystematic studies of species such as Asplenium foreziense legrand ex giraudias and its related taxa. And all this combined with participation in international conferences, as well as university teaching.
