Experience

In the field of Sleep Medicine, Dr. Sandra Giménez Badia is a specialist of obligatory consultation and reference. Her lines of research and assistance work are focused on Chronobiology and Sleep Pharmacology. She has also analyzed the cognitive repercussions of the different disorders related to the act of sleeping.

Trained mainly in Clinical Neurophysiology, she has worked in reference centers such as Stanford University in the United States, and the Sleep and Awakening Disorder Unit of the University Hospital Gui de Chauliac in Montpellier, France. The knowledge acquired during these periods of study and practical practice has allowed her to manage the approach to children and adults with this type of conditions.  

Currently, she is the Head of the Magnetoencephalography Unit at Centro Medico Teknon and, in parallel, she is the Head of the Drug Research Unit at the Research Institute of the Santa Creu i Sant Pau Hospital.
