Lucas Hoyos Mejía, Thoracic Surgery Specialist, has mastered lung transplantation and the use of the most avant-garde techniques of minimally invasive surgery. He has put his knowledge in this field into practice with his patients at the University Hospital Puerta de Hierro Majadahonda.

Passionate about studying aspects such as ex vivo lung preservation or the impact of RAGE cells as a tissue marker in lung transplantation, he has been part of the Puerta de Hierro Health Research Institute. As a result, he has co-authored several articles closely related to these topics.
