Surgery, especially related to the Digestive Area, has always been the highest aspiration of Dr. Andrés Sánchez Pernaute. For this reason, after a long and extensive academic and professional career, he has managed to establish himself as a reputable professional in this sector, becoming the head of the General Surgery and Digestive System section in large hospitals such as Puerta del Sur or HM Madrid, among others.  

After more than 30 years at the head of this specialty, Sanchez has also worked as a FEA in other renowned clinics, even doing rotations at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. All this, combined with his vocational aspiration, which has pushed him to university teaching.
