Dr. Diego Sánchez Muñoz is a renowned Digestive System Specialist who currently serves as Medical Director of the Institute of Digestive Specialties (INEDI) in Andalusia and as Head of the Digestive System Service at the Quirónsalud Sagrado Corazón Hospital in Seville.

Among his training achievements, the Digestive System Specialization at the University Hospital Virgen de Valme, where he won the Best Resident Award and the National Prize of Medicine of the XXI century in the Specialty of Digestive System, as well as in the clinical approach to the pathologies of this area, especially focused on the endoscopic treatment of obesity by intragastric balloon and in the prevention of tumors of the Digestive System. In turn, he has been trained in diagnostic ultrasound techniques and digestive functional tests, the POSE Method, and has extensive experience in endoscopic techniques, including capsule endoscopy.

Throughout his career he has attended more than a hundred national and international congresses of the specialty and has multiple publications in national and international journals; and is a member of various medical societies, such as the Spanish Society of Digestive Endoscopy, the European Society of Digestive Oncology or the Andalusian Society of Digestive Pathology, among others.
