Throughout a professional career of more than two decades, Dr. Miguel Pera Román has an eminent specialization in the diagnosis and treatment of Colorectal Cancer.  

Among his most recent scientific contributions is a description, adjusted to international parameters, of the main risk factors for complications of acute calculous cholecystitis. His academic training was developed mainly between Spain and the United States until he finally settled in the European country as Medical Director and Professor of Surgery at the Hospital del Mar del Parc de Salut MAR.
