Dr. Sandra Gómez-Talavera carries out her work as a cardiologist at the Fundación Jiménez Díaz Hospital, combining it with her responsibilities as a researcher at the National Center for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC). 

Of particular note is her collaboration in a joint project with the multinational company Philips, with which she has developed a technique for performing cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in less than a minute.
