The A2 German Language Course is a program that has been developed to help students improve their language skills in German. For this purpose, native teachers have designed almost 400 practical exercises to work on pronunciation, writing and reading comprehension in an educational and fluent manner. • Understand simple instructions on how to get from one place to another, both on foot and by public transportation
• Understand and extract essential information from short recorded passages dealing with everyday, predictable matters, and spoken slowly and clearly

Reading Comprehension

•  Understand short, simple texts on everyday matters if they contain very frequent, everyday or work-related vocabulary
• Understand short and simple texts containing very frequent vocabulary, including a good part of internationally shared vocabulary terms
•  Understand basic types of commonly used letters and faxes (forms, orders, confirmation letters, etc.) on everyday topics
•  Understand short and simple personal letters
•  Find specific and predictable information in everyday written materials, such as advertisements, package leaflets, restaurant menus, listings, and timetables
•  Locate specific information in listings and isolate the required information (e.g., know how to use the Yellow Pages to search for a service or a business)

Written Expression

• Write a series of simple phrases and sentences, linked with simple connectors such as "and", "but" and "because"
• Write a series of simple phrases and sentences about their family, their living conditions, their studies, their present job or the last one they had. Write short, simple and imaginary biographies, as well as simple poems about people

Oral Expression

• Give a simple description or presentation of people, living or working conditions, daily activities, likes and dislikes in a short list of simple phrases and sentences
• Tell stories or describe something through a simple relationship of elements
• Describe everyday aspects of their environment; for example, people, places, a work or study experience. Give brief and basic descriptions of events and activities. Describe plans and appointments, customs, usual or past activities and personal experiences
• Use simple, descriptive language to make brief statements about objects and possessions, and to make comparisons. Explain what they like and dislike about something
• Deliver rehearsed, very brief statements of predictable, learned content that are intelligible to listeners who are willing to concentrate
• Deliver brief, rehearsed presentations on topics that are of importance in everyday life and briefly offer reasons and explanations for expressing certain opinions, plans, and actions

Sociocultural and Sociolinguistic Competence 

• Learn the sociocultural aspects and social conventions that have the greatest impact on daily life, as well as those related to one's own field, in order to translate them into behavior and communication 
• Recognize and use the most common forms of greeting, courtesy, and treatment. Use, in general, a standard language register of basic but careful formality and informality. Recognize some very frequent colloquial expressions, as well as elementary cultural references related to everyday life
• Understand gestures, behaviors and values that are different from one's own and that underlie the most obvious, everyday socio-cultural aspects

Linguistic Competence 

• Achieve a sufficient repertoire of linguistic exponents for the functions of the level, and correctly use the "formulas" and structures learned
• Achieve a limited control of language construction, including the possible systematic errors common to the level
• Pronounce clearly and understandably, even if a foreign accent is evident
• Write the common language worked on without spelling mistakes
