Dr. Manuel Caro Magdaleno is an ophthalmologist, expert in the Cornea and Ocular Surface unit and part of the ophthalmology team at the Virgen Macarena University Hospital. Due to his extensive professional experience he is the coordinator of the regional reference unit for Confocal Microscopy of the Anterior Pole.  

He is part of the RICORS research network of inflammatory diseases of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III and has been co-investigator at the University of Arizona in the Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences. In addition, he has published several articles related to his area of study in renowned scientific journals.
