With a special interest in scientific research, Guillermo Moreno Muñoz graduated with a degree in nursing and later directed his career towards monitoring clinical trials. He held a position as coordinator of clinical trials and observational studies at the Hospital 12 de Octubre, in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. 

In addition, his academic training also includes pharmacology and nursing prescription, a field in which he teaches at important academic institutions.
