Experience

Dr. Verena Herb is an outstanding Veterinary Ophthalmologist, with a solid academic preparation and a professional career focused on the care and treatment of ocular diseases in animals. Throughout her career, she has combined her vast clinical experience with research, excelling in areas such as Corneal Surgeries and Early Detection of Equine Recurrent Uveitis. In addition, her active participation in international organizations, such as the Spanish Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology and the International Consortium of Equine Ophthalmology, reflects her commitment to the advancement and evolution of Veterinary Ophthalmology. 

In her professional career, Dr. Herb has held the position of Head of the Ophthalmology Service at Specialist Vets Althangrund - Small Animal Clinic where she has led a team specializing in animal eye care. She has also worked as a university assistant in Comparative Veterinary Ophthalmology at the Veterinary University of Vienna and has completed internships in equine hospitals and surgical departments. In addition, her publications, both nationally and internationally, underline her valuable contribution to the development of new techniques and treatments in this discipline.
