Experience
Berta Almoguera Castillo has a degree in Pharmacy and a PhD in Genetics and Cell Biology from the city of Madrid, with a stay of postdoctoral studies at international level, at the Center for Applied Genomics, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in the United States, where at the end of her studies she remained as a researcher hired for a long period of time.
On returning to Spain, she continued her work as a researcher in Genetics at Fundación Jiménez Díaz in Madrid, where she has promoted numerous studies, but of particular interest is one carried out during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic called STOP-Coronavirus: clinical, immunological, genomic, virological and bioethical factors of this virus. In addition, a pilot project financed by the Ministry of Health for the improvement of the genetic diagnosis of individuals and families affected or suspected of suffering from rare pathologies with a genetic basis.
In that order of ideas, she has generated countless publications and projects in her career, becoming a reference in the area of Clinical Genetics and, therefore, she has been called to collaborate as a speaker in different training events and postgraduate programs.
