Elisenda de la Torre Hervera is a member of the NGO Rheumatology League of Catalonia, an activity that has led her to become involved in the defense of patients' rights.  

Her first class academic training in this area and her professional experience have made her a reference. Thus, de la Torre Hervera is very active in health work groups such as the Patients' University or the Patients' Advisory Council of the Department of Health of Catalonia, being its representative to the Board of AQuAS and the Advisory Council of Hospital Medication (CAMH).
