After graduating Cum Laude as Doctor in Pediatrics, Sergio Negre Policarpo has followed an intense trajectory of deep vocation and service, combining his work in health care with clinical, basic, technological and multidisciplinary research, as well as university teaching. In recent years he has become a reference in Pediatrics, Child Nutrition and Pediatric Gastroenterology for his diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in Digestive Functional Tests and Pediatric Abdominal Ultrasound.  

His constant interest in innovation in technology applied to health, have earned him the position of Head of Section at the University Hospital Quirónsalud in Valencia from where he treats all pathologies related to the Digestive System and Pediatric Nutrition such as Acute and Chronic Abdominal Pain, Digestive Infections, Functional Disorders, Dyspepsia, Gastric and Duodenal Ulcer, Intestinal Absorption Problems, Anatomical Anomalies, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Celiac Disease, among others. 

He has to his credit more than 58 books and book chapters related to Pediatrics, with special focus in the field of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, as well as Infectious Pathology related to the Digestive System. In addition, all this has earned him the Young Investigator Award Excellence in Pediatrics in 2009 and the End of Residency Award by the La Fe Polytechnic and University Hospital La Fe.
