Experience

Dr. Andrea Martínez Villalba is an animal lover. For this reason, she has dedicated her career to specializing in the promotion of their welfare, especially with regard to the breeding and care of fish and shellfish. She has combined her academic activity, of which a Master's Degree in Food Safety stands out, with her professional activity, being part of several research programs, of which the line on "Development and Implementation of Innovative Strategies for the Improvement of Fish Welfare in Critical Points of Aquaculture Culture (PISCIBIEN)" stands out.  

In addition, she has been assistant professor in several subjects of the Veterinary Degree, activity that she has carried out in parallel with the participation in congresses and seminars, both as a speaker and as a researcher (especially in relation to the aquaculture sector). All this without neglecting the promotion of the study as part of reference research projects such as PNAC/21 or SPAC/21, both funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of the Government of Spain.
