Dr. Bricia López Plaza has focused her career and her main lines of research on the design and implementation of clinical-nutritional trials to evaluate the efficacy of functional foods on different pathologies such as obesity, bone health or cardiovascular diseases.  

In this way, combining the study with clinical practice at La Paz University Hospital Health Research Institute, she has contributed to the advancement of science with specific nutritional guidelines for various diseases recognized by NUTRINVEST, a group of which she is also a principal investigator.
