Sarela García-Masedo Fernández holds a PhD in Microbiology and works at the Puerta de Hierro Majadahonda University Hospital as an Area Specialist in the Microbiology Service, where she joined as an Internal Pharmacist to obtain her Specialization. Throughout her professional career, she has carried out supervised internships at the University of Oporto, in Portugal, and has worked in prestigious centers such as the San Juan del Puerto Hospital in that city. He has participated in many international congresses and events on Clinical Microbiology and infectious diseases, his main area of interest and knowledge.  

Her work has been published in indexed journals such as the journal Enfermedades Infecciosas y Microbiología Clínica. She is a member of the Spanish Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases and combines her practice with teaching, being tutor of several postgraduate programs for the professional training of new workers in the health sciences.
