Experience
With a PhD Cum Laude in Medicine, awarded by the Autonomous University of Madrid, Fernando Domínguez Rodríguez focused his career towards Cardiology, a specialization he obtained through the residency at the University Hospital Puerta de Hierro Majadahonda, where he now works as a Cardiologist of the Heart Failure and Familial Cardiopathies Unit.
In addition, in order to deepen and broaden his knowledge in this field, he traveled to the city of Berlin, Germany, for a stay in the Cardiomyopathy Unit of the prestigious Charité Hospital, where he began his interest in research on topics such as Hereditary Cardiomyopathies and their genetic basis or Myocarditis and its variants.
In this context, he has excelled as Principal Investigator of national and international competitive projects, for which he has received numerous awards from institutions as reputable as the Spanish Society of Cardiology, of which he is a Member. His work has been published in Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, European Heart Journal and Nature Communications.
