Dr. Luis Fernando Agüera Ortiz is a Psychiatrist and one of the reference professionals in the field of Geriatric Psychology, although he also has extensive experience with adult patients. During all these years, he has developed his functions at the 12 de Octubre Hospital, where he has become the head of the Psychiatry service.  

Combining it with his work, research has always been present in his professional career, participating in a large number of clinical trials of new pharmacological treatments and other research work in the area of depression, Psychogeriatrics and Dementias. He has also authored two books on the latter field and hundreds of articles on psychology published in scientific journals.
