Dr. Muñoz Martín is Head and Principal Investigator of the Hepatobiliopancreatic Tumors, Cancer and Thrombosis Research Projects of the Medical Oncology Department of the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón in Madrid. He is the author of the Clinical Guide on Cancer and Thrombosis of the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM) and of more than 20 indexed publications and 95 communications to national and international congresses including ASCO, ESMO, MASCC, ISTH and SEOM.
His main areas of research, within the Area of Cancer and Thrombosis, are: the study of predictive models of risk of Venous Thromboembolic Disease in patients with Cancer and chemotherapy treatment, the Genomics of Venous Thromboembolic Disease in patients with Cancer and the study of everything related to new anticoagulant drugs in oncology patients.
