Throughout her professional career, Nurse Sara Aya Rodriguez has provided care services in Palliative Care Units and Geriatric Areas of hospitals in Spain. 

Aya Rodriguez's interest in the care of the elderly has led her to carry out research studies in this field, with scientific publications in high impact journals. For this arduous work she received the Innovation and Creativity award from the FUDEN Awards. A collaborative work in which she addresses the coordination of care between the University Hospital Fundación Alcorcón and nursing homes.
