Dr. Luis Serrano is a top-level professional in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Physics. In addition, his vast experience has also taken his career to the Biomedicine sector. He is, therefore, a Multidisciplinary Scientist, backed by an unparalleled academic and practical curriculum that also includes a PhD and a Chair in Organic Chemistry. 

On the other hand, he has dedicated a good part of his career to research, being part of several lines of study and being the Leader of the Liquid Crystals and Polymers Group (CLIP). For all this, he has been awarded by the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry with the Distinguished Career Award 2022, a recognition that adds to other important awards: Aragón Investiga Award 2006, the Freedericksz Medal 2017 (Russian LCS) and the Alfred-Saupe Award 2022, awarded by German LCS and the Alfred-Saupe Foundation.
