María del Mar Gallegos Ortiz is an attorney specialized in Criminal Law, being a founding partner of the firm MLP-Penal & Compliance. She has also served as legal assistant to the Presidency of the Republic of Ecuador and as advisor to the Ministry of Justice, Human Rights and Worship of the same country, among other positions.
