With multiple management positions at the University Hospital Fundación Valle del Lili, Dr. Luz Fernanda Sua Villegas has positioned herself as a leading specialist in her field. Thus, she directs the Pathology Laboratories as well as the Pulmonary and Mediastinal Pathology, Lung Transplant Pathology and Rapid Assessment Units in the aforementioned foundation. 

Her career as a researcher has been recognized on many occasions, receiving awards for clinical research by various medical institutions. She is also a very active member of the scientific community, participating in pathological associations of national and international relevance.
