Dr. Carla Guarnizo Barrionuevo is a veterinary professional with an outstanding career, specialized in Veterinary Ophthalmology. Throughout her professional career, Dr. Guarnizo Barrionuevo has held important positions as Veterinary Technical Assistant (VTA) at the Ophthalmologic Veterinary Institute (IVO) and at the Veterinary Ophthalmology Unit (UNOVE). She has also worked as a veterinarian in the same unit, where she has played a key role in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular conditions in small animals. 

As a result, her clinical experience, combined with a solid focus on research, has allowed her to develop advanced techniques in Veterinary Ophthalmology, consolidating her as a reference in her field.  Additionally, she has a rigorous academic preparation in various areas of medicine applied to animals. In turn, she has extensive knowledge in Neurology, Ophthalmology and Small Animal Reproduction, as well as in Intensive Care and Dermatology. Finally, she has a solid training in laboratory analysis and ocular ultrasonography and ultrasonography, areas in which she has acquired a great deal of practical and theoretical experience.
