Specialist Loreto Carmona Ortells is a renowned Rheumatologist and Epidemiologist, Doctor in Preventive Medicine and Public Health, who has devoted herself almost exclusively to Clinical and Epidemiological Research on rheumatic diseases.  

She has published more than 100 articles in national and international journals and has collaborated in more than 300 presentations at congresses of the specialty. She has participated in several systematic reviews and meta-analyses and is a regular reviewer of the Spanish Society of Rheumatology. In addition, she has coordinated numerous studies and guidelines, assisting rheumatologists in their research projects. 

Her extensive professional career has led her to serve in prestigious centers such as the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products or the Hospital de La Princesa. In addition, she is a member of the editorial board of several national and international journals in the field, including the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases.
