Beatriz Díaz Pollán is a specialist in internal medicine who has devoted most of her career to the detection and treatment of various types of infectious diseases. She acquired her knowledge in this field working for many years as a specialist or attending physician in internal medicine at centers such as the La Paz University Hospital or the San Carlos Hospital. 

The field of research has also been part of her career, as she has worked as a research associate in R+D+i projects focused on infectious disease research. As a result of this activity, she is the author of dozens of scientific articles, mainly published in specialized journals, both exclusively and as co-author.
