Specialized in Cardiology with main interest in Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support and Cardiac Transplantation, where she holds several certifications and programs, Dr. Cristina Sánchez Enrique works as a Specialist in Clinical Cardiology, Hospitalization, Cardiac Imaging, Heart Failure and Cardio-oncology at the University Hospital Vithas Madrid La Milagrosa.

Before that, he was Head of the Heart Failure, Cardio-oncology and Clinical Cardiology Unit at the University Hospital Quirónsalud in Madrid and Cardiologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, among other prestigious centers in Spain.

Her extensive academic training and performance throughout her more than 10 years of career have allowed her to obtain numerous recognitions and awards from the most relevant institutions and organizations in the medical field. In the international field, Dr. Cristina Sanchez Enrique was able to work in a training stay at Montefiore Hospital in New York, a pioneering healthcare center in her area of interest.

In addition, she has extensive research activity, both at the basic level at the National Center for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC), as well as clinical with numerous scientific publications, especially in the field of Infective Endocarditis and Heart Failure; in this facet she has to her credit multiple scientific articles published in journals of first and second quartile, book chapters, presentations at programs and conferences. She has also been appointed honorary tutor of the European University and maintains an active teaching activity for graduate and undergraduate studies.
