This fact, together with the high number of people who have died from respiratory problems resulting from COVID-19 in recent years, has further boosted research into the detection and treatment of different types of respiratory pathologies. Given the constant updating in this medical discipline, pulmonologists are obliged to know and correctly apply all the advances that arise in their specialty in order to offer the best quality of life to each patient.
