Heart disease is the congenital pathology that ranks first in terms of medical incidence in many countries such as Spain, a fact that has led specialists such as Dr. Esteban Peiró Molina to develop projects such as the "VERICY Study: Creation of reference values in infant ergospirometry in the main congenital heart diseases, performed by cycloergometer", a winning work of the Menudos Corazones grant organized by the Menudos Corazones Foundation and the Spanish Society of Pediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Disease (SECPCC). 

Since the development of this project and his work in various private and public hospitals in Spain, he has become a reference in his specific area of medical care. In addition, within the research vein, he promotes an interesting work as a member of the Spanish Society of Cardiorespiratory Rehabilitation.
