Dr. Pilar Soriano Guarinos is a clear example of vocation. Although her academic beginnings were in the field of Pharmaceutics, life led her to Botany and research, two intertwined areas in which she has worked for more than 2 decades. Therefore, after completing her degree and publishing her doctoral thesis, she began to dedicate herself to teaching and the study of natural vegetation and its conservation.  

She also joined the work carried out in the Germplasm Bank of the Botanical Garden of Valencia, collaborating mainly in the line of Ecophysiology and Germination Behavior of Seeds, especially in those species subjected to different types of stress.
