The accumulated clinical experience of Dr. Josep Maeso i Riera in Otorhinolaryngology has made him a reference in this area. A specialty to which he has dedicated a large part of his professional career in the health sector.  

After working in several clinical centers and continuously updating his knowledge, Maeso i Riera took a leap in his career leading the Otorhinolaryngology Section of the Otorhinolaryngology Ophthalmology Center of Egara. An activity that he combined with medical assistance at the Hospital Universitari Mútua de Terrass.  

His interest in research led him to contribute to the clinical, etiopathogenic, prognostic and therapeutic study of sudden sensorineural hearing loss. Thus, thanks to his work on Cochleo-Vesticular Ischemia, he received a distinction from the Catalan Society of Otorhinolaryngology.
