Dr. José Antonio Fernández Alén is an eminence in the field of Neurosurgery. He is a professional with a complete curriculum vouched for by an impeccable clinical career, by his vast experience in the management of thousands of patients and by the most important thing: his vocation and dedication to medical practice. All this has helped him to reach the position of head of the Neurosurgery Department at the University Hospital of La Princesa, a position he has combined with teaching at several university centers.

In addition, he was awarded the distinction of Outstanding Cum Laude unanimously by the evaluation committee for his thesis Prognostic factors in patients who suffer a spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage. These years of research also helped him to write dozens of articles that have served as a reference for many physicians and for the advancement of medicine.
