Internship Program in Nursing in Surgery and Intraoperative Care

Over the years, surgical practice has undergone numerous scientific and technological changes that merit the updating of knowledge of healthcare personnel in the preparation and care of preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative procedures. Being an area linked to most of the processes in the clinical area, TECH Global University developed this program focused on the most relevant aspects of clinical-effective interventions performed within the surgical block. In the course of three weeks of preparation, distributed in eight-hour days from Monday to Friday, you will analyze the optimal conditions in which the facilities and equipment in hospital units should be found, as well as the aseptic practices of sterilization and disinfection of these areas and instruments. Next, you will delve into the requirements for the preparation of the patient and their respective evaluation, linked to the special considerations regarding their physical, psychological and nutritional state. Finally, you will study the care required by the PACU (post-anesthesia recovery unit), equipment and monitoring in the application of regional/local anesthetic or analgesic techniques and sutures. You will reinforce these and other contents through the guidance of a multidisciplinary team, in charge of delivering innovative lessons in a practice-oriented hospital stay.
