Other of his contributions have focused on the legal liability of soccer clubs or on the legal-criminal analysis of mountain risk sport in Spain.

With a PhD in Law from the University of Cadiz, Manuel Rodríguez Monserrat has been part of important projects, such as the R+D+i project "Integral violence in sport: prevention and intervention measures" of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness.
