Among them, the co-direction of the Medical Units of Craniofacial Surgery, Craniofacial Malformations and Cleft Lip and Palate at the University Hospital Virgen de las Nieves, in Granada, stands out. 

In addition, he has also directed teams of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for Children, dedicating his research work to issues such as the Generation of Palatine Mucosa and Bone Substitutes by Tissue Engineering and Orthopedic Treatment with Nasoalveolar Pre-surgical Moulder in Unilateral Cleft Lip and Palate.
