Dr. Alejandro Espejo Baena is a renowned specialist in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology with more than 25 years of experience. As one of the most renowned arthroscopic surgeons in Spain, his trajectory in Knee Pathology, Arthroscopic Surgery and the Treatment of Sports Injuries precedes him, having performed more than 3,000 interventions in knee ligament injuries. It should be noted that in his particular fight for the preservation of the meniscus, he has described techniques and patented a device for suturing it.  

Passionate about his sector, he has balanced his practice with scientific research, particularly in the field of biomechanics with close collaboration with the School of Industrial Engineering and the Chair of Anatomy of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Málaga. He has published numerous research articles in various national and international journals. In addition, he has made valuable scientific contributions at congresses of the specialty that have brought him awards, among which the second prize Secot-Fundación Mapfre Foundation.
