Experience
Dr. Pedro Navarro Illana is an international leader in the education sector, with extensive academic and business experience. Among other positions, he serves as President-Chancellor of the TECH Education Group University Network and Executive Vice President of the educational institution itself. He has also served as Rector of the headquarters of TECH Mexico Technological University and currently serves as Rector of TECH Technological University of the Canary Islands.
Regarding his research career, Dr. Navarro-Illana is a prolific researcher and has published numerous scientific articles of impact in the JCR environment. He also collaborates as a reviewer of the specialized journal VACCINE and is a member of the scientific committee of the Journal of Nursing Informatics and AI in Global Practice and Research. He has been PI in the Teaching Methodologies Research group and participates in international inter-university research projects on teaching methodologies through information and communication technologies, funded by the European Union, both as a researcher and as an external consultant-advisor. At the same time, he is a member of several Research and Ethics Committees in different Hospitals and Universities.
He has been president of more than 50 Master's thesis committees, as well as director of more than 30 of them. He has supervised 4 doctoral theses, all of them Cum Laude. He has participated as a member of scientific committees of multiple international congresses, as well as has participated in countless scientific meetings, conferences and congresses as a speaker. He has been visiting professor at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, as well as at the Sacro Cuore University in Rome, Italy; at the University of Hasselt, Belgium; at the Catholic University of Portugal in Porto and Viseu, Portugal; at the Panamerican University of Mexico or at the Catholic University of Asuncion, Paraguay, among others.
Thanks to his achievements during his academic career, he has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Claustrum Doctoralis Universum Vitalis and the “Magister Academica” award by the World Federation of Doctoral Cloisters.
