With a solid background in Veterinary Ophthalmology, Dr. Màrian Matas Riera has established herself as a reference in care, research and education within this field. Among her most outstanding achievements, she has served as Administrator-Founding Partner of Memvet, an innovative Itinerant Equine Ophthalmology service, and as Editor of the journal of the Veterinary Association of Small Animal Specialists (AVEPA), which reflects her commitment to excellence in her area of expertise. 

Throughout her career, Dr. Matas Riera has led teams as Head of the Ophthalmology Service and held various clinical and research positions in renowned institutions. In the scientific field, her work has focused on complex ocular pathologies, with published research on keratitis, ocular trauma and innovative treatments in different species, including specific conditions in horses and exotic species. In addition, her academic excellence has been recognized with a nomination for the Jim Bee Award, an award that highlights her contribution in the educational area.
