They face the challenge of an educational field where programs with a high theoretical load are abundant and do not pay enough attention to the most recently implemented skills in this area.

That is why TECH has designed this Internship program. The program, a pioneer of its kind, allocates 3 weeks to update nurses who wish to broaden their skills in Home Hospitalization. For this purpose, students will be admitted to a renowned hospital center where they will have access to the best technological resources and will analyze, in situ, the most advanced procedures of this discipline. This educational process, consisting of 120 teaching hours, will allow the student to assist real patients with specific requirements such as palliative care, infection control, pediatric supervision, among others.

This Internship program in Home Hospitalization for Nursing consists of a practical stay in a prestigious center, lasting 3 weeks, from Monday to Friday with 8 consecutive hours of work with an assistant tutor. You will also discuss and analyze cutting-edge criteria with great professionals of the sector, who will be willing to transmit their experiences in a close way during the intervention of real patients. This will allow the student to apply the latest precepts in the area, monitoring and carrying out an exhaustive follow-up of their patients that will depend on the latest technological advances. 

In this completely practical Internship program, the activities are aimed at developing and perfecting the skills necessary to provide healthcare in areas and conditions that require highly qualified professionals, and are oriented towards specific expertise for practicing the activity, in a safe environment for the patient and with highly professional performance.

• Organize the clinical history of the Home Hospitalization Unit 
• Develop coordination and management tasks of a Home Hospitalization team
• Manage the most advanced telemedicine technology

Syndromes Requiring Home Admission and Infection Management from Home Hospitalization Nursing

• Assess the limitations of home hospitalization according to the pathology presented
• Determine the available equipment (palliative, cardiovascular, respiratory...) and the criteria to be taken into account for each case
• Analyze complementary examinations in cases of Home Hospitalization
• Monitor the evolution of psychiatric or rehabilitation patients as a Home Hospitalization nurse

Infections, Pain and Palliative Care in Home Hospitalization for Nursing

• Manage home kinesic, respiratory and neuromuscular care with the appropriate tools
• Prepare the epicrisis of the patient in the Home Hospitalization unit based on admission criteria, exclusion or possible infections
• Coordinate with the psychopathology and family support services in the care of oncology patients
• Recognize possible complications, adverse effects or interactions of drugs administered in sedation analgesia
