Internship

##This study## in is developed over 3 weeks of intensive training that will immerse specialists in their field of practice. The 8-hour consecutive sessions are scheduled from Monday to Friday with the support of an attending radiologist in prestigious clinics. In this way, the participant in ##this study## will be able to carry out fieldwork in situ, with real patients and with the backing of tutors to carry out the most appropriate intervention in each case.

In this training proposal, each activity is designed to strengthen and perfect the key competencies required for specialized practice in this field. This will maximize the professional profile, driving solid, efficient, and highly competitive performance.

This is a unique opportunity to delve into the role of radiology in percutaneous treatments, which have also rapidly evolved in recent years. ##This study## will expand the specialist's scope of action and provide them with confidence when applying therapies to patients in situ. Only in this way can they stay up-to-date and provide the best care in diagnostic and therapeutic radiological procedures.

The practical teaching will be conducted with the guidance and support of professors and fellow trainees, facilitating teamwork and multidisciplinary integration as transversal competencies for medical practice (learning to be and learning to relate).

The procedures described below will form the basis of the training, and their execution will depend on the availability, routine, and workload of the center. The proposed activities are as follows:

Radiodiagnosis

  • Use the latest technology in Ultrasound and Computed Tomography
  • Utilize high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment
  • Understand the organization of combined radiological diagnosis in a modern Radiology Unit
  • Perform an EPID (Diffuse Interstitial Pulmonary Diseases) exam
  • Assess the diagnosis of COPD in a patient
  • Analyze thoracic trauma, mediastinal tumors, and pancreatic and pulmonary diseases

Interventional Radiology

  • Perform a cystography
  • Drain abscesses
  • Embolize an aneurysm
  • Place filters in the inferior vena cava and dialysis catheters, including replacements
  • Perform intracerebral AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation) treatment

Radiodiagnosis by Organs and Systems

  • Know the technology available in defecographies
  • Practice Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) and Breast Core Biopsy (BAG)
  • Apply imaging techniques in ovarian cancer
  • Perform aneurysm treatments and treatments for diabetic foot
  • Examine musculoskeletal lesions

Minimally Invasive Techniques in Interventional Radiology

  • Perform fine needle punctures on arteries or veins, closing the area with hemostasis using closure devices or manual compression
  • Assess the use of drains for collections in patients with abscesses in various locations
  • Place TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt) in patients with chronic liver diseases, refractory ascites, or secondary gastrointestinal bleeding
  • Place gastrostomies in patients with esophageal or ENT tumors
  • Avoid the risk of pulmonary embolism (PE) in patients with lower limb venous thrombosis by placing filters in the inferior vena cava

Modern Technology in Radiodiagnostics

  • Perform arterial examinations and complex studies using multislice CT
  • Review the use of closed high-field MRI in obese or claustrophobic patients
  • Intervene using stereotaxy with digital mammographers with tomosynthesis
  • Use 3D vertical radiology systems with low radiation
  • Become proficient in the use of various ultrasound equipment, portable echocardiography, gynecological ultrasound, and orthopantomograph

Introduction to the Program

Enjoy an intensive 3-week stay in a reputable center and get up-to-date on the latest clinical procedures to achieve professional growth"

The numerous advantages offered by radiological tools in medicine also have an impact on the management of hospital centers. Thanks to their slight intervention in patients, they can be admitted to the clinical center and return home once the test has been successfully performed. These are novel and sophisticated techniques aimed at improving the quality of life of patients and achieving a longer-lived society. Given its importance in the field of health care, it requires professionals who are up-to-date with scientific advances and know how to apply them avidly.

TECH offers an Internship Program in prestigious hospitals for specialists to develop clinical techniques in the real scenario of action with heterogeneous cases of cranial pathology, pulmonary diseases, evaluation of musculoskeletal problems, as well as the application of imaging techniques in gynecology, among others. This internship will consist of 3 weeks of learning, integrating the latest technological tools. In addition, the specialists will have the support and follow-up of professionals who belong to the team of experts of the hospital centers.

Internship Program in Update on Diagnostic and Therapeutic Techniques in Radiology

The radiological disciplinepermits the treatment and diagnoses of diseases through the use of imaging technology. This field includes diagnostic and minimally invasive interventional radiology, which is necessary to reduce risks and ensure patient rehabilitation. In order to provide the necessary tools for professionals to specialize in this area, TECH Global University has developed the most complete and updated Internship Program in Update on Diagnostic and Therapeutic Techniques in Radiology on the educational market. Our program consists of three weeks, distributed in eight-hour days from Monday to Friday, within which you will access an innovative curriculum that will allow you to acquire knowledge in different areas in which the diagnosis and radiological treatment have greater impact. Through the topics taught by our team of experts, you will approach neuroradiology, gynecology, vascular therapies and venous and lymphatic interventionism. All of this will be reinforced through active participation in a prestigious clinical center, where you will be able to develop practical cases related to cranial pathologies, pulmonary diseases and musculoskeletal problems.

Study a program in diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in radiology

Among the many advantages offered by radiological tools is the mild intervention in patients, allowing them to improve their state of health effectively. From TECH's School of Medicine, we designed this program, with the aim of providing the most relevant information and knowledge of the moment. During this practical period, you will update your knowledge in areas such as radiological therapies in the thorax and abdomen, cranial study, evaluation of dementia or neurodegenerative diseases and treatment of lower and upper gastrointestinal bleeding. In addition, you will learn the protocols for approaching the patient with diagnostic-therapeutic radiological treatments, as well as embolotherapy and vascular therapy diagnosis. Finally, you will delve into other subspecialties of neurology, sense organs, pulmonology, cardiology, gastroenterology, urology and angiology. By mastering these proposed topics, you will manage to implement to your praxis the clinical techniques to recognize new materials used in interventional radiology.
