With a great vocation to ensure the welfare of the smallest patients who present complex clinical situations, Dr. Rosa Maria Calderon Checa decided to specialize in Pediatrics. Thus, she has provided detailed and rigorous attention to each child in the Pediatric Emergency Department of the 12 de Octubre University Hospital in Madrid.  

On the other hand, she has shown interest in scientific dissemination, which has led her to co-author publications on topics such as, for example, Infections during Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation. She has also participated in the development of the Pediatric Emergency Manual.
