Dr. José Carlos Álvarez Ramos is an Agricultural Engineer specialized in Viticulture, Oenology and Gastronomy. He has developed an extensive and outstanding training and professional career in his field, which has allowed him to reach prestigious positions such as Technical Director of Viticulture and Oenology in different wineries, such as Bodegas Arco de Curiel SL, Bodegas Frutos Villar SL and Bodegas Honorato Calleja SL, and CEO at Bodegas Convento de Las Claras SL. 

In addition, he combines these tasks with the activity of teaching in multiple training centers and universities of international relevance, as well as his role as a researcher in his area of expertise with the publication of articles, the authorship of books such as El Decálogo del Viticultor and the co-authorship of the Diccionario de Gastronomía, published by LID Editorial and the Academia Iberoamericana de Gastronomía.
