RM Egea is a specialist in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology. Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Complutense University of Madrid (2007), during her years of residency at COT she completed a master's degree in Public Health and Epidemiology at the Rey Juan Carlos I University of Madrid (2010). Defending his doctoral thesis (November 18, 2013, Summa Cum Laude) under the title: “Circumferential lumbar arthrodesis. Comparison Autograft Vs Lyophilized Graft ”.
His entire career has been dedicated to orthopedic surgery and trauma, as well as research and teaching in this field. Since obtaining her bachelor's degree in 2007, she has worked in Spain at the Fundación de Alcorcón University Hospital (Madrid) and Mutua Gallega (Vigo, Pontevedra). In September 2013 he moved to the Netherlands, where he worked at the "VU Medisch centrum" hospital (Amsterdam) and "Medisch Centrum Breda". In 2016 he was part of the spine research unit at the “Nuffield Orthopedic Center” in Oxford. On his return to Spain after a period at the University Hospital of Móstoles, he began in February 2017 at the Niño Jesús Children's University Hospital, where he currently works in the Spine Surgery unit (Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Service).
He has always shown an important interest in university teaching, research and student development both in Spain and abroad. Teaching nursing and physiotherapy classes at the Rey Juan Carlos University during her residency at the Fundación de Alcorcón University Hospital, later abroad (Free University of the Netherlands) and being an associate professor at the Francisco de Vitoria University during her contract at the University Hospital from Móstoles.
