Dr. Javier Flandes Aldeyturriaga has more than 25 years of experience that have made him a leader in bronchoscopic treatments for pulmonary emphysema, COPD and respiratory infections. He is also an expert in the treatment of Asthma through Endobronchial Thermoplasty or the study of Lung Cancer through Echobronchoscopy or difficult lung lesions through Bronchoscopy by Electromagnetic Navigation.

He is Associate Chief of the Pneumology Service and Director of the Bronchoscopy and Interventional Pneumology Unit at the Fundación Jiménez Díaz University Hospital, which is part of the Autonomous University of Madrid, and President of the Spanish Association of Respiratory Endoscopy and Interventional Pneumology (AEER) and regent for Spain of the World Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (WABIP). 

Throughout his career he has made more than a hundred publications, countless communications, regular Chairman in congresses and scientific meetings related to Pneumology, besides being Professor in different national and international courses of Medicine.
