Dr. Joaquín Casal Rubio has been at the forefront of specialized clinical care in the area of Oncology for more than 2 decades, during which time he has been part of major health centers worldwide references such as the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital and the Jiménez Díaz Foundation University Hospital. His experience, as well as his excellence in the diagnosis and advanced and comprehensive management of cancer in its multiple stages and representations, led him to the Head of this section at the Meixoeiro Hospital.

Subsequently, he went on to assume this responsibility throughout the University Hospital Complex of Vigo. All this in coordination with the writing of dozens of research projects and dissemination as articles in Spanish and Anglo-Saxon journals, as well as more than a hundred communications in national and international congresses.
