Dr. Alejandro Ortega Romero is a reference in the field of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Treatment of Musculoskeletal Pathologies in Madrid, where he has been a pioneer in the use of ultrasound for the practice of regional anesthesia and less invasive techniques for the treatment of pain. This has allowed him to stand out nationally and internationally, becoming guest editor of a monographic issue on this technique in a prestigious international journal, the European Spine Journal. 

He has also been dedicated to the practice of anesthesiology in trauma hospitals and ACAL group, accumulating more than 20 years of experience in the area, reaching the position of Head of the Pain Unit and specialist physician at the Hospital Asepeyo in Coslada.  

In addition to being a Professor, he is a reviewer of the Spanish Journal of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation and has made numerous scientific and teaching publications, as well as integrating as a full member of important associations and societies of the guild.
