Experience

Milagros Mateos Otero, PhD in Chemical Sciences, is Researcher, Professor and Director of the Department of Animal Production and Health, Veterinary Public Health and Food Science and Technology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University, in addition to being a Professor at that institution. 

Her lines of research are related to the Development of Minimally Processed Products and the use of Modified Atmospheres in the Packaging of Refrigerated Fresh Produce, having completed her Specialization at the University of California, Davis. In this field, he collaborates with the group of the Postharvest Technology Center of the IVIA and in the research line: improvement of food safety in the production system and its derived products. 

She has written more than two dozen articles in the area of Minimally Processed Products and has been Coordinator of projects funded by public agencies in the programs of the National Plan (MYCIT, AINIA), private projects and mixed projects (FEDER, ATYCA).
